After Your Ceramic Coating
Ceramic Coating Care
A little care keeps your coating looking its best and keeps your warranty valid. These steps follow System X's own aftercare and warranty guidance. If we gave you different instructions at pick-up, follow ours.
01
The first days
- A new coating takes about 2–3 days to cure to full strength.
- Don't wash the vehicle for the first 2 weeks.
- Keep it away from trees, and don't let bird droppings or sap sit and bake on the paint.
02
Wash every two weeks
- Wash by hand from the top down, out of direct sunlight, with separate tools for the wheels.
- Use touchless car washes only. Never use a car wash with brushes.
- Dry completely with a clean microfiber towel. Don't let it air-dry.
03
What to avoid
- Waxing or polishing the coating.
- Aggressive spot removers and high-pH cleaners.
- Automatic car washes with brushes.
The yearly inspection
This is the one that protects your warranty. Under System X's terms, your coating needs an inspection by an approved applicator within 30 days before or after its anniversary date. Missing it voids the warranty. Call us at (402) 765-8285 or email us to schedule yours.
Good to know about the warranty
- It's registered in the vehicle owner's name and can't be transferred.
- It covers passenger vehicles only. Commercial vehicles aren't covered.
- It doesn't cover things like swirl marks, scratches, water spots, damage from brush-style washes, or collision and hail damage.
- If something might be covered, tell your installer within 30 days.
